What is HydraFacial Keravive?
A healthy scalp is a foundation for healthy-looking hair. Poor scalp health can significantly contribute to damaged, thinning hair and inhibit healthy hair growth. Keravive is indicated for people suffering from scalp flaking, itchiness, dryness, or irritation. It also benefits people experiencing hair thinning or loss due to hormonal, environmental, or physiological factors such as stress or preparing for a hair transplant or undergoing hair loss treatments such as PRP. It is a unique treatment designed especially to cleanse, stimulate, nourish, and hydrate the scalp for healthier-looking and fuller hair, just like a facial for the scalp.
The treatment helps to reinvigorate your scalp and remove impurities to help address scalp and hair concerns such as damaged, dry or thinning hair, clogged hair follicles and dry scalp. The vortex technology and the Keravive peptide complex solution cleanses, exfoliates, stimulate, and deliver a proprietary blend of skin proteins and growth factors to hydrate, nourish, and stimulate the scalp specifically. Additionally, it helps individuals who are suffering from hair loss or thinning due to environmental, hormonal or physiological factors such as stress or are preparing for a hair transplant or undergoing hair loss treatments.
How does a Platelet-Rich-Plasma (PRP) Treatment for Hair Loss Work?
Our PRP treatment offers solutions that are two-fold: the procedure will stimulate hair regrowth while working to slow down future hair loss. As the name suggests, the procedure works through injections of blood with a particularly high concentration of plasma, injected directly into the patient’s hair follicles.
The platelet-rich blood is drawn from the patient, plasma is separated in a centrifuge, and the injection is then positioned into the various locations around the scalp that are being targeted. The special, micro needle is extremely thin, and the area will be numbed prior the treatment. The great majority of our patients report little to no pain. And, because the blood is drawn from the patient’s own body, the risk of complication or rejection is eliminated.
How Does Microneedling Act on Hair?
Hair growth is dependent on genes that trigger the development of new hair cells. This development occurs within the hair follicles covering the scalp and the rest of the body. Hair cell production is initiated by a number of chemicals, chief among which is the human growth factor (HGF) – a protein or steroid hormone – capable of stimulating cellular growth.
In the microneedling process, a microneedle pen – which looks like a pen with tiny needles in the end – the mechanical action of the pen allows the needles to puncture the scalp to cause minor surface wounds. The body then starts working to produce new skin, releasing chemicals and HGF in the process, which in turn stimulates hair regrowth thus covering up thin/bald areas.
This technique seems to be even better when paired with our super powerful Growth Factor Serum.
